Jr / Medical Laboratory Technologist - Clinical Immunology Laboratory (1 yr renewable contract)

The Clinical Immunology Laboratory (CIL) of Tan Tock Seng Hospital provides diagnostic tests that are vital for the management of patients with rheumatologic, allergic, or immunologic diseases. We envision ourselves to be a group of professionals who provide excellent patient care through education and research, supported by a caring work environment. We are seeking a suitable Medical Technologist candidate as we expand to better serve the needs of our clinicians.

The candidate should be responsible for but not limited to:

1. Perform testing of patient samples by ELISA, indirect-IFT, molecular, particle agglutination, immunoblot, and turbidimetry methods, either manually or using complex instruments.
2. Calibrate and maintain instruments, perform QC, and troubleshoot.
3. Work independently and with the team to perform a full range of duties, from specimen processing through data analysis and reporting, to generate medically meaningful and accurate data in aid of diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
4. Provide customer service to clients and providers.

The candidate should possess:

1. A Diploma in Biotechnology or Medical Laboratory Sciences emphasis OR
2. A Bachelor of Science in Biological, Chemical, Physical, or Clinical Laboratory Science.
3. Experience in a diagnostic laboratory is preferred, but not a prerequisite. (For experienced candidates with a Diploma in the above disciplines, a minimum of 2 years of experience is required to qualify for the Med Lab Tech role.)
