Job description
  1. Ensure profitability by maintaining an accurate record of baking operations.
  2. Manage needed supplies and inventory levels.
  3. Direct and supervise the production staff's activities to make sure that products are up to standards.
  4. Ensure fillings of bread are standardized for all products.
  5. Decorate baked products using glaze, icing, and other toppings to achieve a finished appearance.
  6. Assess the quality of raw materials before baking.
  7. Conduct research to develop recipes for new products.
  8. Maintain portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
  9. Ensure daily opening and closing duties in the outlet are properly executed.
  10. Supervise food preparation and food production to ensure that food quality standards are met according to company SOP.
  11. Ensure kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards as set in our SOP.
  12. Recruit and hire outlet staff.
  13. Responsible for induction training and on-the-job training of new employees and newly promoted staff.
  14. Train and demonstrate cooking techniques and proper equipment usage to staff.
  15. Responsible for employee performance and discipline.
  16. Handle the repair and maintenance of restaurant equipment.
  17. Perform backend duties such as stock takes and scheduling.
  18. Handle any other duties assigned by the Head Chef.
  19. Ensure staff follow company safety SOP.
