IT Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently design, develop, and deploy IT solutions to support business needs.

• Administer and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment, including Intune, Compliance, and Security modules.

• Implement cybersecurity measures and conduct log monitoring to detect threats and anomalies.

• Lead or assist in managing IT projects, ensuring successful delivery and stakeholder collaboration.

• Provide Level 2 technical support, resolve IT issues promptly, and handle incident/problem management.

• Serve as backup support for IT vessel operations, with potential travel involved.

• Oversee IT procurement, billing, and vendor management.

• Conduct routine IT operations checks (daily, monthly, annually).

• Automate IT processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance system functionality and user experience.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience, with at least 5 years in L2 support for medium to large enterprises (100+ headcount).

• Strong technical expertise in Microsoft 365 administration, especially Intune, Compliance & Security.

• Proven track record in project management or facilitation of IT initiatives.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to simplify technical language for users.

• Hands-on experience with next-gen firewalls and network management.

• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and ITIL processes.

• ITIL certification required; MS-102 (M365 Certified Admin Expert) is a plus.
