IT Project Engineer (Novena/ 4-7yrs)

Seeking Singaporeans to join as IT Project Engineers/System Engineers X 2 at Novena (Infrastructure Engineering) on a 1-year project renewable assignment.

Role 1:

As a Project Engineer/Executive, you will be responsible for supporting systems management and operations activities in implementing large-scale IT/Engineering projects with quality, within scope, and ensuring deliverables are on time and conform to processes and standards meeting customer requirements.

• Manage contracts to ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Monitor system health and provide regular performance reports.
• Track and manage system security to meet security policies and standards.
• Provide technical and operational support across multiple sites.
• Manage and implement O/S, software, and firmware patching.
• Support review and implement change requests with minimal disruption to operations.
• Support physical intrusion detection systems for security monitoring.
• Assist in managing obsolescence by tracking system components and sourcing replacements.
• Support the annual audit of spare assets and ensure availability of critical components.
• Assist in procurement activities related to system upgrades and maintenance contracts.
• Provide technical advice and respond to customer and stakeholder queries.
• Review and update operations and maintenance manuals.
• Support system audits to ensure compliance with regulations and contracts.

For Role 1: You should have a minimum degree in IT and 4+ years of experience in system management and operations support.

Experience with physical intrusion detection systems and contract management is required.

Knowledge of system health monitoring tools, security tracking, and patch management is essential.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and vendors in a high-pressure environment.

Role 2:

As a Project Engineer/Executive, this role will be stationed at the customer's office, working under the supervision and guidance of the customer team. The Project Engineer/Executive will support the Project Manager (PM) of the team and collaborate with other members who are seconded to the customer for a specific project.

• Procurement and Project Management/Operational Support: Assist in procurement processes and provide operational support to the customer.

Participate in activities such as:

• Architectural Security Review (ASR) and remediation of Penetration Test (PT) findings.
• Audits (IM8, Cybersecurity, etc.).
• Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) planning.
• Conduct Threat Risk Assessments (TRA).
• Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and polls from relevant customer staff.
• Privileged Account Management: Perform monthly reviews of privileged accounts to ensure compliance and security.
• Waivers and Exceptions: Raise waivers and manage exceptions related to IM8, Cybersecurity Code of Practice, Circulars, and other regulations.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the project and customer needs.

For Role 2: You should have a minimum degree in IT and 4-7 years of experience in project management, procurement, or IT operations support.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Familiarity with IM8 guidelines and Cybersecurity Code of Practice is a plus.
