IT Network Security Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, deploy, and configure network hardware and software, including routers, switches (Layer 2 & 3), firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize traffic flows and ensure optimal performance across all network components.
• Liaise with vendors, service providers, and external consultants to ensure that services meet the required standards and to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, configurations, processes, and service records. Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff, promoting a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures that ensure the organization’s data and systems are protected against cyber threats.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security weaknesses and risks to make improvements in the organization’s security.
• Contribute to the development and execution of security awareness training programs for employees to enhance security awareness and best practices.
• Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and incident response strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 5 years of experience in a Network management role.
• Strong knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, modern cybersecurity concepts, and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, IPSec, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Must be able to work remotely or onsite during weekends/public holidays if required.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA are preferred.
