IT Manager (Network and Security)

Responsibilities:

Design and Configuration

• Design, deploy, and configure network hardware and software, including routers, switches (Layer 2 & 3), firewalls, and wireless access points.

Network Monitoring and Optimization

• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues.

• Implement solutions to optimize traffic flows and ensure optimal performance across all network components.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with vendors, service providers, and external consultants to troubleshoot complex problems and ensure service quality meets required standards.

Documentation and Compliance

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network architecture, configurations, processes, and service records.

• Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Team Development

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.

• Promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the team.

Cybersecurity Implementation

• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and systems against cyber threats.

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security risks.

Security Awareness

• Contribute to the development and execution of security awareness training programs for employees.

• Enhance organizational security awareness and promote best practices.

Continuous Learning

• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and incident response strategies.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in IT or any relevant field.

• Minimum 5 years of IT in a Network management role.

• Knowledge in cybersecurity threats, trends, modern cybersecurity concepts, and technologies.

• Prior experience in network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, IPSec, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) would be an added advantage.
