IT Manager

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Lead the local IT department managing projects and the daily operations on servers, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, desktops and applications.
2. Design and implement network infrastructure and cybersecurity measures to meet new business requirements and applications.
3. Design and update IT policies and procedures, perform vulnerability assessments, penetration tests and baseline hardening to meet the requirements of global IT standards and cybersecurity needs.
4. Perform server consolidation and virtualization to replace aging servers.
5. Provide 1st to 3rd level support for the team of IT engineers. Escalate issues to vendors for quick resolution, schedule monthly servers’ maintenance, deploy upgrades/patches for systems and applications, perform system and cybersecurity monitoring.
6. Assist in designing and implementing automated operations processing to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the team.
7. Support policies and procedures regarding how problems are identified, received, documented, distributed, and corrected.
8. Work with the Management and stakeholders to update the BCP/DR plan to meet new business requirements.
9. Gain an understanding of operation processes and needs as it relates to technology and communication of IT projects and identify operational technology needs.
10. Assist with evaluation of new information systems products or services, and provide input for improvements to better aid the end-user.
11. Ensure proper functioning of the company’s information processing system and apply appropriate updates and changes according to maintenance schedules.
12. Maintain working relationships with vendors and third-party providers, ensuring contracts are kept up to date and cost maintenance strategies are assessed and analyzed on a periodic basis.
13. Take ownership of hardware and software assets.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Candidates should ideally possess the following:

1. Bachelor’s degree, specializing in information technology, mathematics or similar.
2. Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in a managerial position.
3. Experience in managing internal and external IT security audits is preferred.
4. Strong technical background in cybersecurity and network technology and management, i.e. firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC, MDM, SIEM, routers, switches, antivirus, patch management, privilege access management, end point security, etc.
5. Proficient in Microsoft products which include Windows Server 2016/2019, Office365, Azure or any other cloud platform, migration & upgrade of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP, etc.
6. Hands-on knowledge in working with UniTrends, VMWare, Juniper Firewall, Dell & HP network switches, Dell SAN storage, CCTV, PABX, Biometric Door Access, etc.
7. Experience in working and managing vendors.
8. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, apply critical thinking and resolve user account and system application issues.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Attention to detail and possess good time management skills.
11. Resourceful, proactive, a good problem-solver.
12. A team player who is also able to work independently as well as able to multi-task.
