Technology Strategy: Develop and implement the IT strategy that aligns with the organization's goals.
Leadership: Lead and mentor the IT team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
Budget Management: Plan and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with business needs.
Communication:Communicate effectively across all departments to present IT ideas and report the progress of the IT team. Provide good customer service to end users in the organization.
Infrastructure management
System Administration: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems, including PABX, servers (Windows, Linux, Exchange), networks, and storage systems.
Network Management: Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the organization's network infrastructure.
Data Management: Manage databases backups using virtualisation technology such as Hyper-V, VMware and vSphere to ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
Inventory Management:Manage IT inventory, software licenses and renewals
Cybersecurity
Security Policy Development: Develop and enforce IT security policies to protect the organization's data and systems.
Threat Management: Monitor for security breaches, manage security incidents, and implement preventive measures.
Project Management
Project Planning: Plan and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation and performance evaluation.
Technical Support and Maintenance
User Support: Oversee technical support for end-users (including regional offices), ensuring prompt resolution of IT issues.
System Upgrades: Plan and manage upgrades and migrations to new systems or technologies.
Onboarding and offboarding:Assist in onboarding and offboarding of all employees
Compliance and Risk Management
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that IT systems and practices comply with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT operations, including disaster recovery planning.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Technology Innovation: Stay informed about new technologies and trends, recommending and implementing innovations that could benefit the organization.
Process Improvement: Continuously seek to improve IT processes and workflows for better efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field.
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience as IT manager.
Good communication skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
Strong knowledge in networking and virtualization technology such as VMWare and Hyper-V
Experience in managingservers (Windows, Linux), networks (LAN, WAN, VLANs and Wireless), computers, routers, switches, firewalls, CCTV, PABX, door access, software deployment, security updates and patches.
