Job Description

1. To provide network access to all staff and ensure connectivity across the company.
2. To install and configure hardware (e.g., desktops, printers, peripherals) as needed.
3. To install and update required software applications on staff workstations/laptops.
4. To assign network accounts and passwords to staff, ensuring appropriate access levels.
5. To maintain and monitor the security of all IT systems, including the network, hardware, and software.
6. To implement security measures, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and data encryption.
7. To advise staff of any security breaches, password changes, or updates to security status.
8. To ensure that all systems are compliant with company security protocols and policies.
9. To install and configure IP addresses and maintain network settings.
10. To work with outsourced contractors to troubleshoot network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
11. To identify hardware that is no longer in use and prepare it for disposal.
12. To develop, implement, and enforce the IT Security Policy Manual to protect company data and IT infrastructure.
13. To manage IT-related contracts, including software licenses, hardware maintenance, and service agreements, ensuring their timely renewal.
14. To create procurement requisitions and orders.

Requirements

1. Good knowledge of IT support and administration.
2. Strong knowledge of networking, hardware setup, and software installation.
3. Familiarity with IT security practices, data protection laws, and best practices.
4. Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
5. Independent team player with a positive working attitude.
