IT Business Analyst (Ref 26043)

Responsibilities

1. Analyse business technology requirements and specifications against value and risk of potential solutions, identify suitable technological solutions for the business.
2. Examine interactions between systems elements, systems performance and issues, and design the solution blueprint for the specific area of expertise with consideration of implications for integration across the entire solution.
3. Translate business requirements and user needs into functional and technical specifications, ensuring that the current and future business environment balances requests and competing priorities from key stakeholders to maximise the value delivered to the organization.
4. Present business cases defining potential benefits, solutions to increase efficiencies of business processes and associated risks.
5. Create, review and maintain the documentation of the design document, coding document and user manuals.
6. Specification of business rules for regulatory reporting, business operations and transformations.
7. Functional design and testing of solutions.
8. Maintenance and promotion of best practices around the data dictionary of the bank.
9. Interaction with developers to define implementation specs.
10. Interaction with other IT teams to explain and communicate on Data services.
11. Assisting with the daily operations through scrum, Jira and Kanban techniques.
12. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes relevant to capital markets.

Requirements

1. Degree in Computer Science with 3-5 years of experience in relevant activities.
2. Skilled in Data analysis using database queries (SQL / Oracle / Sybase), TSQL and JOINS.
3. Good working understanding of Microservices and Swagger UI.
4. Basic knowledge of UNIX commands and Scripting.
5. Hands-on experience on sourcing data from various applications covering various data formats like CIBMIL / Kafka messages / JSON.
6. Strong understanding of the CFT concepts.
7. Strong understanding of the XSLT transformation and tools like Oxygen OS.
8. Desirable to have Messaging Queue concepts and tools like Hermes.
9. Basic understanding of the tools like Grafana, Kibana, EJB.
10. Good understanding of GIT, JIRA, Agile project management concepts.
11. Experience in supporting capital market applications and trading systems, ideally within the dynamic landscape of Market Risk/Front Office operations with commendable grasp of financial products (Treasury / FX, Credit, IRD, Bonds, RSF etc).
12. Strong functional knowledge of financial products and regulatory reporting.
