Candidates must have relevant Renewable Energy experience in investment banking, IPP, renewable energy project developer, private equity or asset manager
Responsibilities would include:
Make a significant impact on the growth strategy of the firm's clean-energy business in the SEA region
Implement and acquire controlling stakes in solar, onshore/offshore wind, hydro, battery energy storage systems and gas fired projects at various stages of development (early stage, construction, operations, etc.)
Work closely with senior members of the Investment team to screen, evaluate, analyse, conduct thorough due diligence, run financial analyses for various M&A / partnership opportunities in SEA
Manage all stages of the deal process, and actively support the senior members of the Investment team in the development and negotiation of termsheets, investment memos, presentations, Joint Development Agreements, Construction Contracts, Financing Agreements, SPA
Work with internal and external parties such as finance, accounting, technical, legal, tax and environmental advisors as and when required
Ensure all business activities are carried out effectively and in line with internal and external policies, procedures and governance frameworks
Profile of ideal candidate:
Bachelor's degree in any discipline
5-10 years of prior relevant experience in investment banking, IPP, renewable energy project developer, private equity or asset manager
Familiarity with the renewable energy developments in the SEA region and a good understanding of renewable project economics
Willingness to learn and take on increased responsibility over time with an opportunity to eventually manage a team
Positive attitude with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Strong financial modelling and analytical skills with an eye for detail
Good team player with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
