The Opportunity

We're set to launch a deep tech venture studio Singapore with the support of the local government. Enterprise Singapore is backing us to build a team and launch operations in Singapore.

The focus will be on deep tech and climate tech and we are looking for outstanding candidates who have operating and investment experience, deep founder empathy and excellent networks to join our new team.

We will be raising capital for a deep tech venture studio focused on commercialising IP from the ecosystem as well as launching corporate studio and accelerator programs with local organisations.

For the right person, this is an incredible opportunity to launch our Singapore Hub with a proven playbook delivering the best possible experience for our founders.

Responsibilities

• Own the process for finding, diligencing and investing in startups in Singapore with a focus on deeptech and climate.
• Assess and qualify early-stage ventures, technology and founding teams, conducting diligence and negotiating investment terms with the support of our team.
• Develop ecosystem relationships with investors, founders, government, universities and corporates.
• Mobilise startup sourcing networks for international and local FF programs in deep tech and climate tech.
• Identifying key sources for startup founders and finding scalable ways to support them.
• Activating and growing our local network in Singapore.
• Support our portfolio in Singapore with their fundraising needs including fundraising narrative, investment materials and investor connections.

What You'll Need

• Demonstrate relentless energy and passion for finding opportunities, building relationships and evaluating investments.
• Personal networks that embrace the startup communities in Deeptech.
• Ability to learn and synthesise new information about new sectors and build up your own investment thesis.
• Ability to communicate authoritatively and passionately and share details of the Founders Factory vision, differentiation and operations.
• Warm relationships with high-quality investors and startup founders are a must.
• Previous deeptech investing expertise and network is a plus.
