Investment Analyst, Private Equity / Venture Capital
Investment Analyst role within the Asia private equity / venture capital team. This hire is expected to play a key role in all aspects of our private equity fund investments and also support on co-investment transactions in the regions of India, SEA and developed Asia. There will also be collaboration with the broader Asia team. This is a career track role with the opportunity for advancement within our Asia investment practice group. The role would be based out of Singapore.
Position Overview
Support execution of investment due diligence of investment opportunities in private equity /or venture capital funds and co-investments, encompassing research, assessment, valuation and modelling of various transaction types.
Conduct industry research and develop market and sector insights relevant to covered geographies.
Drive transaction assessment including secondary and primary research, comps comparison, valuation modelling.
Support preparation of investment recommendations to the Schroders Capital Investment Committee.
Support development of relationships with industry participants, including fund managers and advisors.
Support preparation of client pitches and requests, and development of new marketing material.
Support portfolio monitoring of co-investments, preparation of quarterly reports and investment updates for Schroders Capital investors.
Desired Profile
Minimum Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited university combined with a postgraduate training (CFA or CAIA).
Master's degree / MBA would be preferred, but not a mandatory pre-requisite.
Financial investment experience with minimum 2 years working in direct private equity or venture capital investing, investment banking, transaction advisory (due diligence) or corporate finance.
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis, financial modelling, financial analysis, and valuation.
Excellent communication skills (written / verbal / presentation).
An ability to manage multiple responsibilities and time-sensitive deliverables with a high degree of quality and accuracy.
A high level of curiosity, strong discipline, and attention to detail.
