Infrastructure Operation Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, monitoring and daily maintenance of enterprise-wide applications such as Apache HTTPd, Apache Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere Application Servers, Kubernetes, Kafka, IBM-MQ.
• Interact with Software Development and infrastructure teams to define hardware requirements required to implement application solutions and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Interaction with business units and project managers to solve a variety of business-technical issues.
• Interact with software, network and UNIX infrastructure administrators to seamlessly implement solutions to complex technical issues.
• Evaluate and select middleware technology based on application design needs proof of concept design studies.
• Troubleshooting web and middleware environments.
• Identify potential and real performance bottlenecks within web environments.
• Using troubleshooting methods to differentiate between an infrastructure or environment problem.
• Administration of web environments.
• Advanced Web/Java troubleshooting (analyzing heap dumps, thread dumps).
• Constantly update documentation as necessary to reflect system setup and environment.
• Handle escalation seamlessly to avoid any gaps that may arise to meet or exceed SLA.
• Utilize ITSM process and tool support.

Requirements:

• Must be a Singaporean citizen due to G50 security clearance requirements by the client.
• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Working experience in Linux and Windows systems.
• Knowledge or work in an environment using Azure or AWS is a plus.
• Strong implementation and administrative skillsets for Linux systems, especially RedHat.
• Good knowledge of open source cloud Platform-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (PaaS and IaaS), solutions like Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and related technologies like Docker containers and Kubernetes container orchestration.
• Prior experience providing enterprise-wide support, including OpenShift, private/public cloud and on-premises systems support.

• Possess initiative that would improve productivity and efficiency.
