Infrastructure Cloud Network / VMware Engineer

Job Description:

Education / Experience:

• Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology
• or related field
• 3 - 5 years working experience

Responsibilities:

• Implement, maintain and administer network, OS, storage and backup.
• Collaborate on system development tasks to include design, implementation, integration and testing.
• Provide on-call, 24x7 support for systems on a rotating basis. Implement corrective procedures to resolve production problems and minimize unplanned system outages.
• Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution.
• Coordinate with external parties and customers for problem resolutions.

Skill Sets:

• Knowledge of IT Infrastructure such as OS, network, storage and backup.
• Passionate about new technology and keen to pick up new skill sets.
• Good team player with the ability to work independently.
• Able to manage stakeholders.
• Candidates with one or more of the following skill sets will have an advantage:
• Basic knowledge of Windows OS (Windows Server [2016 / 2019], Linux).
• Installation/configuration of OS setup.
• Basic troubleshooting.
• Installation/configuration of Windows roles and features such as Active Directory, DNS.
• Basic knowledge of server architecture such as CPU, RAM, network ports.
