Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. IT System Management:
    • Oversee and manage all hotel IT systems, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), guest Wi-Fi, and back-office operations.
    • Ensure all hardware and software are functioning optimally, performing regular system updates and maintenance.
  2. Network & Infrastructure Support:
    • Manage and monitor the hotel’s internal networks, servers, and communication systems, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including guest internet connectivity problems, in a timely manner.
  3. Technical Support:
    • Provide on-site technical support for hotel staff and guests, addressing any IT-related issues that arise (e.g., computer malfunctions, printer issues, or network connectivity problems).
    • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
  4. Data Security & Backup:
    • Implement and monitor IT security measures to safeguard the hotel's digital assets, including guest data and internal systems.
    • Ensure regular data backups and disaster recovery processes are in place.
  5. Vendor & Software Management:
    • Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers to maintain and upgrade systems as needed.
    • Manage software licenses, renewals, and compliance to ensure the hotel is fully compliant with industry standards.
  6. Staff Training & Support:
    • Train hotel staff on the proper use of IT systems, tools, and equipment.
    • Provide ongoing IT education and support to ensure staff can effectively use technology for day-to-day operations.
  7. Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Work closely with other hotel departments, including Operations, Front Desk, and Housekeeping, to ensure seamless integration of technology into hotel processes.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior management on IT performance, system issues, and potential improvements.
  8. Innovation & Technology Solutions:
    • Stay current on emerging IT trends, particularly within the hospitality industry, and recommend new technologies that could improve operational efficiency or guest experience.
    • Evaluate and implement IT solutions to enhance the hotel’s technological capabilities.
