Summary:
The Industrial Engineer will be based in Changi reporting to NPI Manager.
What a typical day looks like:
- Analyze production processes, schedules, and workflows to optimize efficiency
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance productivity
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify areas for improvement
- Design efficient systems integrating workers, machines, materials, and information
- Establish quality control procedures to ensure product standards are met
- Manage inventory control and warehouse operations
- Develop safety procedures to ensure safe working environments
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create efficient layouts
- Collaborate with management and staff to implement solutions
- Monitor operational performance and sustain improvements
- Use simulation software to simulate new line setup or upsize or downsize of capacity
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience in addition to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or related Industry.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience in setting up factory or area for Cleanroom requirements
- Proficiency in CAD and simulation software
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of supply chain management
- Understanding of ergonomic principles
- Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards
- Experience in process improvement and optimization
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools
- Experience with production planning and control
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation
- Basic understanding of computer programming languages
- Experience and knowledge of operating bulky and heavy products: 5Mx7M and 10-15 tons weight
