Our client:

Our client, a global leader in kitchenware, tableware, and homeware, is looking for an Industrial Design Manager to lead their team and oversee the end-to-end design process, from concept generation to product launch.

The Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor a team of industrial designers, ensuring high-quality and timely product development.
2. Develop and execute design strategies to enhance product portfolio and market competitiveness.
3. Drive innovation by exploring new materials, technologies, and design trends.
4. Oversee the design process to ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product design with business objectives and technical feasibility.
6. Work with manufacturing partners to optimize designs for production efficiency, cost, and quality.
7. Manage material selection and manufacturing processes across plastic, metal, wood, and glass products.
8. Ensure seamless coordination between design, engineering, and marketing teams to bring concepts to market successfully.

The Requirements:

1. Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field
2. Hands-on in industrial design, with a proven track record of leading product design from concept to commercialization.
3. Deep understanding of product development principles with technical proficiency in design software and tools
4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
5. Excellent communication skills to effectively present design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Comfortable with overseas travelling as and when required
