Overall job objectives

The Operations Supervisor will oversee farm operations and facility maintenance, ensuring smooth production processes, workforce coordination, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor and manage daily farm operations, including seeding, transplanting, harvesting, and packaging.

· Supervise and coordinate Operations Assistants and part-time staff to execute farm tasks efficiently.

· Ensure the optimal functioning of farm systems, equipment, and environmental conditions.

· Oversee inventory management and coordinate produce delivery logistics.

· Manage labour efficiency, scheduling, and process optimization.

· Liaise with contractors for logistical, maintenance, and farm upgrades.

· Plan and implement weekly farm schedules and SOPs in coordination with the Operations Director and Plant Science team.

· Ensure farm hygiene, biosecurity, and overall cleanliness.

· Monitor and maintain farm safety protocols for personnel and visitors.

· Prepare and handle nutrient solutions and other necessary farm chemicals.

· Assist Plant Science Department in optimising crop growth conditions.

· Maintain accurate records and update the Weekly Inventory sheet.

· Contribute to scaling initiatives that improve farm operations and productivity.

Job Specifications

· Strong team player with a positive learning attitude and a good understanding of plant science and farm operations.

· Physically capable of performing farming-related tasks.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for reporting and data analysis.

· Ability to work independently and professionally while maintaining a customer service-oriented mindset.

· Detail-oriented and results-driven, with strong organizational and follow-up skills.

· Prior experience with hydroponics is required.
