The key duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
Reporting to the Head of Core Network.
Responsible for the design, planning, integration and operations for Simba’s 4G Mobile IMS network, Fixed network, DRA, MNP and FNP systems.
Network design, architecture planning and roadmap evolution. Planning of applications, interfaces, and features
Design, Implement and manage IMS and various elements/VoLTE, DRA/DEA/Application servers, PCRF, and SMS etc
Operations, fault management, trouble shooting, configuration management and implementation
Responsible for maintenance activities
Performance management maintain high availability of systems and services
Propose enhancements to improve service quality and reliability
Managing the projects, new integrations, upgrades, acceptance testing etc
Support other functions of Core network department including Packet Core, VAS, and interconnects etc
Support the manager in documenting and maintaining IMDA Code of practices, Business Continuity Process and Telecommunication Cyber Security best practices.
Responsible for capacity expansion, software updates and upgrades
Responsible for the design, planning, integration and operations for Simba’s VoLTE roaming services
Responsible for the design, planning, integration and deployment on all voice related regulatory projects
Support Marketing, Product in rolling out new consumer and corporate voice products
Support Finance in billing verification and dispute
Support IT in provisioning operations and troubleshooting
Support Customer Service in resolving all consumer and corporate complains
Perform any other functions as may be assigned by the company management from time to time to support business needs
The candidate should possess the below qualities to fulfil the needs of the role:
Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, IT, Computer or Electrical Engineering
3-5 years of experience in IMS voice core network department (Planning, Operations and Maintenance) function.
Deep understanding in IMS system, services, Voice network, MNP, FNP, MGW, MSS & HSS
Deep understanding in VoLTE/IMS/RCS, interfaces, protocols, call routing, call tracing, fault analysis and trouble shooting
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
Excellent articulation, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge in SDN/NFV/VNFi/MANO hardware & software functions.
Experience with maintenance tools and troubleshooting process
Strong sense of integrity, responsibility, and initiative
