ICT Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware (servers, network devices, workstations, printers, etc.).
• Provide first-level troubleshooting for IT systems, applications, and networks.
• Support software installations, upgrades, and patches.
• Assist in monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
• Support in configuring and maintaining firewalls, routers, and switches.
• Assist in maintaining cybersecurity measures, including antivirus, access control, and backups.
• Provide technical support to employees, resolving IT-related issues via phone, email, or in-person.
• Assist in setting up and managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Assist in managing servers, cloud systems, and IT assets.
• Monitor system performance, identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Perform basic scripting and automation tasks for IT operations.
• Maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Assist in generating reports on IT performance, incidents, and asset management.
• Document and track IT issues using ticketing systems.
• Support ICT team in implementing new IT projects and solutions.
• Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Conduct research on emerging technologies and suggest improvements.

Minimum Qualifications/ Job Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, CCNA, ITIL) are an advantage.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Active Directory.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
