HVAC Engineer (Marine)

For our local agency (based in Singapore), we are looking for an HVAC Engineer to fulfill a full-time position specialized in HVAC systems for the Marine & Offshore Industry.

Our future HVAC Engineer must have a thorough knowledge of the HVAC systems which includes but is not limited to the following systems: air-conditioning systems, ventilation systems, split units, automation & electrical systems, instrumentations, ducting, piping, etc.

As an HVAC Engineer, you will be supporting the HVAC Lead Design Engineer and supporting the Project Manager(s). Your duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Effectively respect the Design & Production (manufacturing & equipment delivery) schedules.
2. Successfully manage the technical relationship with our clients.
3. Produce and/or lead the production of P&ID, D&ID and all drawings required during the projects’ design stages.
4. Collaborate with cross multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into overall marine and offshore designs.
5. Lead the production of the electrical design & wiring diagram.
6. Attend meetings at the shipyard and conduct the presentation & explanation of our design drawings and technical documentation.
7. Assist our purchasing team in the sourcing of competent manufacturers & competitive suppliers.
8. Provide support during commissioning and testing of HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with performance requirements and safety standards.
9. Produce the technical specifications to be issued to suppliers in accordance with the projects’ requirements; liaise with suppliers or sub-contractors; abide by the technical specifications of the procurement; assist our purchasing team in the negotiation with the selected suppliers & subcontractors.

Requirements:

1. Engineering degree (Mechanical/Thermal/Electrical).
2. Mechanical background is preferred – Electrical background is a plus.
3. At least 5 years of working experience in HVAC projects.
4. Relevant experience in Marine/Offshore Industry is necessary.
5. Proficient with Microsoft office software (Excel, Word) & with Autocad 2016.
6. Solid organizational & technical skills including attention to details.
7. Good English communication skills.
