HVAC Engineer (Contract)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the design of HVAC systems for new construction and renovation projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, and ductwork/piping design.

2. Perform engineering calculations to determine system performance and efficiency.

3. Analyze existing HVAC systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

4. Assist in the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and technical reports.

5. Assist in the coordination of HVAC projects with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients.

6. Assist in the preparation of project schedules and budgets.

7. Assist in the review of contractor submittals and shop drawings.

8. Provide technical support to project teams and field personnel.

9. Assist in the creation of project documentation.

10. Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

11. Adhere to company policies and procedures.

12. Assist with special projects as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

3. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

4. Strong understanding of HVAC principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.

5. Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
