We seek an innovative leader to lead the Human Resources and Health strategy for our client, The International French School of Singapore.
MISSION
As a key member of the institution’s leadership team, the Human Resources and Health Director plays a strategic role in shaping the school’s HR policies and well-being initiatives. This position leads a dedicated team of HR professionals and health practitioners to support a multicultural environment that fosters employee engagement, organizational efficiency, and student well-being.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by leading key strategic projects, including:
- Workday system implementation and user support - Overseeing the rollout and ensuring seamless adoption by all staff.
- Teachers' learning and development framework - Designing and implementing a professional growth program for educators with support from an external consultant.
- Total reward structure optimization - Conducting cost-benefit analysis to enhance employee compensation and benefits.
- Safeguarding and well-being policy enhancement – Strengthening policies and practices to promote a safe and supportive school environment.
- Supporting business growth - Contributing to HR strategies that align with the school’s projected expansion over the next three years.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Life Cycle Management
Directly or through the HR team, collaborate with school leadership to ensure seamless execution of HR processes, including:
- Workforce planning and budgeting
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Salary review and compensation management
- Performance management and rewards
- Employee training and development
- Payroll processing and administration
Strategic HR and Organizational Development
- Align HR strategies with the school’s development plan to assess organizational needs and implement effective solutions.
- Support school leaders in workforce planning and defining required skill sets to meet operational and business objectives.
- Analyse workforce costs and implement compensation and benefits strategies that balance employee attractiveness & retention and financial sustainability.
Well-being and Safeguarding
- Develop and implement policies to support staff and student well-being.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work culture by promoting open dialogue between employees and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and internal HR regulations, conducting regular legal monitoring and updates.
- Oversee and update HR policies and procedures to maintain best practices.
IDEAL TALENT
- 15 + years of experience in HR field with at least one significant experience in a leadership role, ideally in a multicultural service-based environment (retail, hospitality, health services, etc)
- Strong expertise in total rewards management (salary benchmarking, job analysis, salary structures, performance-based pay, employee benefits) and organisational development.
- Experience in team management and project leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of Singaporean labour laws and HR compliance.
- Proven ability to drive organizational change and process improvement.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in Workday or similar HR systems.
