Job description

Overview:

  • Providing guidance, support and coaching to the Regional Leadership Team.
  • Responsible for leading and managing the human resources functions across the APAC region.
  • Pivot regional HR growth strategies that align with the company business strategy and objectives, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture, and ensuring compliance with regional labor laws and regulations.

Strategic Alignment:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand their goals and challenges.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the company’s business goals and strategic direction in the APAC region.

Talent Management:

  • Lead talent management processes, including performance reviews, succession planning, and development planning, to ensure the organisation has the right talent in the right roles.

Talent Acquisition:

  • Oversee talent acquisition and retention programs to attract and retain top talent. Partner with the recruitment team and/or search firms to identify staffing needs, participate in the recruitment process for key positions, and ensure a positive onboarding experience for new hires.

Employee Relations:

  • Lead employee relations and conflict resolution processes.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations issues.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with corporate standards.

Employee Engagement:

  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, focus groups, and action planning, to enhance employee satisfaction, retention, and productivity.
  • Implement performance management systems to drive employee engagement and productivity.

Inclusion and Diversity:

  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives.

HR Policy and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulations, and provide guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyse HR data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Monitor and analyse HR metrics to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.

Change Management:

  • Support organisational change initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, and process improvements, and help employees navigate change effectively.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement organisational change initiatives.

HR Projects and Initiatives:

  • Lead or support HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion programs, employee wellness initiatives, and HR process improvements.

Relationship Building:

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, managers, employees, and HR colleagues, and serve as a trusted advisor and resource for HR-related matters.

Team Development:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the regional HR team, ensuring professional development and succession planning.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field. Master’s degree or professional HR certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with 5 years in a senior HRBP or leadership role is preferred.
  • Experience as a senior HR business partner in an international environment working as part of a regional leadership team (manufacturing experience is desirable).
  • Proven experience in the APAC region, with a strong understanding of regional labor laws and cultural nuances.
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully delivering business growth, change management & HR transformation.
  • Excellent knowledge of HR strategy and commercial insight, talent management, recruitment, engagement, cultural change, L&D, reward, and recognition, and learning and development.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to influence senior management and drive organisational change.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages relevant to the APAC region are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required.
