Contract: 2 years (Renewable/Convertible)
Working Location: Changi Airport
Working Hours: 8:30am to 8:30pm OR 8:30pm to 8:30am
Number of Working Days per Week: 6 Days
Able to work Sundays and Public Holidays.
Summary
The Hub Operation Supervisor reports to the Assistant Manager Baggage, Freight, providing real-time support to manage the distribution of Changi Airport’s common-use assets, such as Arrival Belts and Departure Racetracks. The Hub Operation also closely coordinates with the Baggage Officer-In-Charge who provides ground presence in the Baggage Handling Area (BHA).
Responsibilities:
- Implementing the seasonal schedule by ensuring the relevant parties update the operational database with real-time data.
- Building the daily arrival belt and departure racetrack allocation using the RMS, resource management system, and ensuring that belt capacity is balanced to avoid congestion.
- Providing real-time information to stakeholders (airlines and business partners) necessary for the efficient and optimal operations of facilities.
- Preparing various reports, such as Sitrep, for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manually updating Baggage Information and Flight Information Displays.
- Troubleshooting multiple, often simultaneous, scheduling conflicts as they arise.
- Coordinating with Engineering Baggage Control Room and/or Baggage OIC for any real-time operational changes and challenges in the BHA.
- Ensuring Arrival Hub operation presentation performance and mishandling rate are met or exceed KPI.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma with any relevant education.
- Experience in an airline/airport operations environment (preferably 2 years of experience).
- Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to develop and foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Airline/airport scheduling experience is an advantage, preferably with gate and baggage scheduling systems.
- Extensive computer knowledge and experience, and the ability to become proficient at new software systems.
- Familiarity with aircraft types and an understanding of Apron & Baggage operations would be an advantage.
- Must be able to work shifts and weekends (if required).
- Ability to solve electrical and mechanical troubleshooting while working.
- Maintain safe work procedures in the working environment.
- Able to carry baggage when necessary, up to 50+ Kgs.
