Primary Tasks and Responsibilities

Our clients are seeking experienced and dedicated QHSE Managers to oversee the QHSE aspects of a large-scale offshore vessel conversion project at a Singapore shipyard. The QHSE Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing the QHSE management systems within the conversion and company scope, ensuring compliance with local and the company QHSE requirements. This role aims to enhance shipyard and crew safety, quality of operations, and a culture of continuous improvement across the conversion. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses excellent leadership skills to manage the QHSE team while collaborating closely with all involved departments and joint venture stakeholders. The HSE manager will report to the project manager and the internal company QHSE Lead onsite and at company HQ.

Secondary Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Implement and enforce QHSE management systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identifying potential hazards associated with the conversion scope and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Ensure safety awareness and training for all personnel, addressing both general and task-specific safety requirements.
  • Lead audits.
  • Manage risk.
  • Conduct incident investigations.
  • Follow up on actions.
  • Lead onsite HSE officers.
  • Liaise with authorities, shipyard, and joint venture stakeholders.
  • Report to HQ.

Technical Profile Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in HSE in ship construction and maintenance.
  • Good knowledge and experience with QHSE management systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the QHSE management system.
  • Experience with lifting operations is an asset.
