HR Manager (Maritime/ West/ MNC)

Responsibilities:

Employee Relations & Business Partnering:

• Handles recruitment, employee relations, coaching, grievance handling, and discipline.
• Lead and supervise HR team (team of 3) on payroll, taxation, training, and development.
• Serve as a liaison between management and employees, addressing questions, contract interpretation, and resolving work-related issues.

HR Projects:

• Lead HR projects such as change management, succession planning, and other assigned tasks.
• Oversee company-wide training programs for all employees.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Lead compensation and benefits processes, including salary surveys, job benchmarking, and remuneration controls.
• Support the alignment of HR policies and procedures with company standards, ensure compliance with Ministry of Manpower regulations.
• Lead performance management, salary, and bonus reviews.
• Handle internal and external audits and approve regional office payroll. (HC 150)

Training & Development:

• Work with business leaders to identify training needs.
• Supervise the team on programs like Talent Retention and Graduate Attachment.
• Manage the training budget and ensure efficient use of professional development funds.

Facilities & Administration:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.
• Advise on office management and maintenance.
• Handle other ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Degree in Human Resource Management or Business or any related studies.
• Min 5 - 8 years of working experience as HR.
• Min 3 years of experience as HR Manager.
• Relevant experience in Marine Industry is an added advantage.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin, verbal and written (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates and customers).
• Payroll system - Timesoft.
