Job description

My client is seeking an experienced HR professional to manage the full spectrum of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management, with a specific focus on recruiting staff for their applied research initiatives.

This role involves partnering with hiring managers, providing expert HR consultation, and ensuring compliance with Singapore's employment laws, contributing to a dynamic and successful university culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full spectrum of daily HR operations, ensuring compliance with Singapore's Employment Act and university policies.
  • Manage recruitment, salary benchmarking, employee relations, performance appraisal, grievance handling, and staff engagement.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers for strategic recruitment, including job posting development and budget management.
  • Coach Hiring Managers on effective recruitment and performance management.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to streamline recruitment and onboarding.
  • Facilitate performance appraisal processes and support talent management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross department stakeholders for claims document preparation.
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, navigating a dynamic environment.
  • Participate in HR projects, including process improvement and technology adoption.
  • Contribute to diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Generate recruitment metrics and activity reports for data-driven insights.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years HR experience, 3 years in talent acquisition or HR business partnering.
  • Experience supporting academic or research environments (advantageous).
  • Experience recruiting research staff and processing grant claims.
  • Understanding of basic accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's Employment Act and labor laws.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude, proactive approach, and high integrity.
