Job description

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee human resources functions across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. This role will involve managing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with local labor laws, fostering positive employee relations, and handling HR administration tasks. The HR Manager will also be responsible for generating key HR reports, implementing performance management strategies, and developing KPIs aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Management:
    Overseeing end-to-end payroll processes for all employees in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
    Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, including deductions, allowances, and bonuses.
    Managing payroll-related queries and issues from employees.
    Collaborating with finance teams to reconcile payroll data and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
    Understanding the income tax regulations and rates applicable to employees in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, including knowledge of tax brackets, deductions, exemptions, and reporting requirements.
  2. Compliance and Legal:
    Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
    Ensuring company policies and procedures are compliant with local labor laws.
    Advising management on labor law matters and providing guidance on legal implications.
    Handling employment contracts, terminations, and other HR-related legal documentation.
  3. Employee Relations:
    Fostering positive employee relations across all locations.
    Addressing employee grievances and conflicts in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.
    Implementing initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  4. HR Administration:
    Overseeing and handling HR administrative tasks such as leave management, attendance tracking, and employee records maintenance for Malaysia and Indonesia.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    Generating reports on key HR metrics, such as turnover rates, absenteeism, and compensation analysis.
    Analyzing data to identify trends and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  6. Performance Management:
    Collaborate with department heads and key stakeholders to define strategic objectives and develop measurable key results that drive performance and align with organizational goals.
    Provide training and guidance to managers and employees on setting effective OKRs and cascading them throughout the organization.
    Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure individual, team, and organizational performance.
    Ensuring KPIs are aligned with strategic objectives and support continuous improvement efforts.
    Monitor and analyze KPI data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing insights to management for decision-making.
    Oversee the performance evaluation process, ensuring it is fair, transparent, and aligned with the OKR and KPI framework.
    Facilitate regular performance conversations between managers and employees, providing guidance on goal progress, performance expectations, and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  2. Proven experience as an HR Manager or similar role, with a focus on payroll and compliance in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
  3. Strong understanding of payroll processes and regulations in each country.
  4. In-depth knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Vlook-up, and Pivot table is a must.
