This role manages the HR department within Singapore, overseeing local HRs and establishing cascading processes to strengthen alignment among legal entities in line with HR projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the Singapore-based HR team, ensuring the successful execution of various HR functions, including recruitment, employee engagement, relationship management, and implementing HR policies.
Work closely with the Office Manager to streamline and coordinate HR processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring all HR activities align with organizational goals.
Serve as the expert on Ministry of Manpower employment laws and regulations, providing guidance to ensure compliance and informed decision-making within the company.
Handle employee relations matter to safeguard the employee value proposition and minimize risks to the organization. Additionally, ensure compliance with data privacy across all legal entities.
Support senior management in formulating and executing strategies focused on retaining talent and boosting employee engagement through effective initiatives.
Lead recruitment efforts, including organizing university recruitment events and participating in career fairs to attract talent.
Collaborate with the training department or external providers to source development programs, nurturing talent within the organization.
Stay updated on HR trends, talent management innovations, and legal developments, and apply this knowledge to improve policies and advise senior management.
Manage employee relations, addressing conflicts, behavioural issues, and disciplinary actions to maintain a harmonious work environment.
Coordinate with international HR teams to align the company’s HR strategy globally, especially in recruitment efforts.
Work with the Global HR Team to design competitive employee benefits and remuneration packages to attract and retain top talent in the market.
Job Requirements:
Good command of written and spoken English.
Understanding of Singapore’s labour laws and regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint.
Comfortable with a fast-paced international working environment.
Responsible, self-driven, strong learning ability and execution ability
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Experience in handling cross-department communication is an advantage
Prior experience in team management and leadership
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in human resources/ business administration/ related fields, master’s degree preferred
At least 6 to 10 years of HR experience and with at least 3 years of experience in managing a team
