5 days work @ Gul way (Tuas)

Monday to Friday 8am to 530pm

Pick up point at Jurong East MRT

7 months contract (completion bonus of 0.5months bonus)


Position Summary

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations, providing support to employees and managers, and contributing to the overall success of the HR function. This role serves as a trusted advisor to business units and departments, offering expertise in HR policies, programs, and initiatives while utilizing data analytics to inform decision-making and drive ongoing improvements in HR practices. As an HR Generalist, you will also play a key role in delivering HR support and guidance to plant teams. By building strong relationships with leaders and employees, you will help ensure effective people management, foster a positive work environment, and continuous improvement within the workplace.


Job Responsibilities

  1. Partner and support hiring managers in the recruitment process, including interviews and selection.
  2. Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  3. Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, providing support in accordance with company policies and relevant legislation.
  4. Provide guidance on industrial relations, employee grievances, conduct, and disciplinary matters, maintaining adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  5. Handle employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations, ensuring fair and compliant resolutions.
  6. Compile, analyze, and report HR metrics such as turnover rates, headcount, and employee engagement statistics.
  7. Ensure the timely submission of statutory surveys and compliance reports.
  8. Provide support for year-end activities, including performance appraisals, merit reviews, and bonus processing, as needed.

What We Are Looking For

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business management and/or Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in HR generalist or business partner roles, with exposure to HR operations and strategic HR practices.
  3. Experience in a plant or manufacturing setting, with a good understanding of its dynamics and challenges, along with handling foreign employees.
  4. Strong knowledge of local labour laws and statutory requirements.
  5. A team player with good interpersonal, problem-solving, and process-thinking skills.
  6. Ability to handle multiple and sometimes competing priorities with a positive attitude.
  7. Strong attention to detail.
  8. Self-motivated and agile, with a desire to take on new challenges.
  9. Meticulous approach to problem-solving and implementation of HR practices.
