Job description

Responsibilities:

The Deputy General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the HR and administration functions within the organization. This role requires strong leadership, strategic vision, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The Deputy General Manager will lead a team of professionals in HR and General Administration to drive performance, enhance employee engagement, streamline business processes, and contribute to the overall growth and stability of the organization. In addition, this position will serve as a key advisor to the Head of the Department, providing critical support to the Administration Department.

Human Resources

  1. HR Planning & Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals. Ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies, maintaining best practices in HR management.
  2. Management: Oversee and approve payment-related HR activities, such as payroll. Play a key role in the annual increment and bonus exercises, with assistance from a Senior HR Officer.
  3. Other Responsibilities: Handle various HR functions as needed to support the organization, e.g., grievance handling, discipline issues, group insurance.

General Affairs

  1. ISO Representation: Serve as the Management Representative for ISO 37000 and CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) for ISO 27000 standards, ensuring compliance and effective implementation across relevant operations.
  2. Administrative Leadership: Lead the administration team in managing intra-company agreements, expatriate tenancy matters, mobile device and service arrangements, car booking system, ACRA compliance, and handling other ad-hoc tasks assigned to administrative personnel.
  3. Office Management: Oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring a productive, efficient, and well-organized working environment while implementing best practices for office management and facilities maintenance.
  4. Events Planning and Coordination: Lead the committee to plan, coordinate, and execute company events that foster engagement, collaboration, and a positive work environment.

Others

  1. Support the Head of Department on an as-needed basis by providing advice and reporting on the progress of business development projects across the Asia Regional Headquarters.

Requirements:

  1. Candidate must have minimum a Degree in Human Resource or equivalent.
  2. Candidate with at least 15 years of management experience in Accounting, HR, Admin field in the Construction industry (Preferably in Civil Construction industry).
  3. Candidate with Good understanding in operations (Accounting, Human Resource, General Affairs) in the Construction industry.
  4. Experience in A1 Main Civil contractor will have added advantage.
