HR Director - Travel Retail

Our client is a leading player in the travel retail industry. They have a global presence and are strong in Asia. The HR Director will lead the HR strategy across the organization, focusing on fostering a culture of learning, driving employee engagement, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the business goals, providing guidance to senior leaders on organizational development, workforce planning, and talent strategies.
2. Learning & Development: Oversee the creation and execution of learning initiatives that enhance skills, support career progression, and build a culture of continuous development across the organization.
3. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Drive innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent, and design onboarding programs that improve retention and early-stage employee engagement.
4. Employee Engagement & Retention: Foster a unified culture through employee recognition programs, engagement initiatives, and tailored wellness and benefits offerings that boost satisfaction and morale.
5. HR Systems & Compliance: Lead the implementation of HR management systems and ensure full compliance with labor laws and regulations across all operational markets.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor to department heads and senior management, ensuring HR initiatives support broader business objectives and deliver measurable impact.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Business or any relevant degree
2. 5 years minimum of HR leadership experience, with strategic HR planning, learning and development, and employee engagement.
3. Strong track record in Luxury Retail, Food & Beverage or hospitality industries
4. Fluency in Mandarin (C2) and Bahasa Melayu (C2) preferred, with advanced proficiency in HRMS tools such as Infotech HRMS, Ramco HRMS, SAP HR, and Timesoft HRMS.
