Job Functions

  1. Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
  2. Serve as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues. The HRPB will act as an employee champion and change agent. Responsible for providing a full range of HR solutions to the Operations and Support groups.
  3. Assess and anticipate HR-related needs. Communicate proactively with our HR department and business management and develop integrated solutions.
  4. Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the organisation's business objectives.
  5. Maintain an adequate level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition.
  6. Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
  7. Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  8. Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  9. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  10. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
  11. Provide daily performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  12. Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  13. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  14. Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
  15. Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  16. Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  17. Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  18. Participate in evaluation and monitoring of the success of training programs. Follow up to ensure we meet training objectives.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and relevant industry experience.
  2. With SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification.
  3. At least ten years of generalist HR experience, preferable with HR Business Partnering experience.
  4. With good communication skills, strategic thinking and planning ability.
  5. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organisational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  6. Require long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand.
  7. Require to travel locally during the business day. Some out-of-area and overnight travel.
