Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Finance & Accounting

  1. Assist in managing the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  2. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies, and internal controls.

  3. Process payments, monitor accounts payable and receivable, and liaise with external auditors.

  4. Prepare financial reports for management and board review.

  5. Work with external vendors and partners for financial and audit-related matters.

2. Human Resources Management

  1. Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management.

  2. Maintain HR policies, employee records, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

  3. Coordinate staff performance management, training, and development programs.

  4. Administer payroll, employee benefits, and leave management.

  5. Foster employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.

3. Board Meeting Preparation & Engagement

  1. Organize and coordinate board meetings, ensuring timely distribution of agendas, meeting materials, and reports.

  2. Liaise with board members and stakeholders to facilitate smooth meeting processes.

  3. Take minutes during board meetings and ensure accurate documentation of discussions and resolutions.

  4. Track action items and follow up on implementation post-meeting.

  5. Ensure compliance with governance policies and procedures related to board meetings.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  2. At least 5 years of experience in finance, HR, or administrative roles, preferably in the financial or insurance sector.

  3. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, HR policies, and governance frameworks.

  4. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in engaging with senior stakeholders.

  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and HR/Finance software.

  7. High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
