Job description

We are looking to hire an experienced, highly motivated, hands-on individual who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations with regards to Health Safety and Environment, to achieve ZERO LTI for the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • In-charge of HSE function of the assigned plant, drive for continuous improvement by implementing up-to-date standards to comply with local codes requirements.
  • Implement programs to comply with MOM, SCDF, and NEA requirements.
  • Develop safety awareness programs to promote a safety culture mindset.
  • Review risk assessments, safety audits, and drive improvement plans.
  • Familiar with Local Code of Practice, SS 651, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 Management System.
  • Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements, code of practice, and guidelines.
  • Conduct incident/accident investigation processes including root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Assist/coordinate WHSE Safety Committee meetings and organize HSE inspections.
  • Evaluate/update work methods, procedures, and policies. Maintain accurate records and documentation of the HSE management system.
  • Coordinate process safety studies and safety case requirements.
  • Coordinate/assist/conduct HSE, CERT, and emergency response training and relevant activities.
  • Update the emergency response plan and respond to HSE incidents and emergencies.
  • Coordinate between suppliers/contractors, planning/scheduling contractors' work regarding safety matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the operational requirements of the department and/or the specific goals of the division.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Appointed as the Workplace Safety and Health Officer of the plant.

Qualifications:

  • WSQ Specialist Diploma in Safety & Health, or relevant degree.
  • MOM registered Workplace Safety Officer.
  • Good knowledge of WSH Act and other WSH related compliance, with at least 2-5 years relevant local experience in the field of HSE.
  • Knowledge of the following standards: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SS 651, Safety Management System (MOM), HSE Policy, local legislation, and guidelines.
