Job Title: Head Sommelier


About the Role:

The Head Sommelier will be responsible for overseeing the wine program at Fairmont Singapore and Swiss French Brasserie, which has been located on Mohamed Sultan road since 2011. The Head Sommelier will ensure all daily activities run smoothly and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with wine service during meal periods, including presenting, opening, and decanting wine at the table.
  2. Ensure wines are served at the correct temperature and in the appropriate glassware.
  3. Create and maintain the wine list in collaboration with the Head Sommelier & Restaurant Operations Manager.
  4. Recommend food and wine pairings to enhance dining experiences.
  5. Provide personalized wine advice to guests based on their preferences.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should be familiar with restaurant operations and have a good understanding of what makes a great wine experience.
