Head of Social Work Department

Responsibilities

• Leading, planning and development of social work practice standards and quality outcomes, in support of HNF's overall mission to empower patients, clients, and caregivers in the community through all-round support.
• Responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and delivery of social work and mental health services, in line with HNF's overall mission and care model.
• Ensure quality and cost-effective delivery of social work and mental health services in home care, caregiver support, and community outreach.
• Identify needs and develop appropriate social work services in support of HNF patients, caregivers, and the community.
• Review, develop and enhance work processes/guidelines of the social work department and CREST team to ensure efficiency and compliance with government guidelines and regulations, such as Means Testing, MediFund, and ILTC subsidy scheme.
• Guide, manage and develop the Social Work Department's staff to meet the department's objectives, including managing workload distribution, developing training plans, and providing supervision and mentorship to staff in the department.
• Collaborate with internal clinical and non-clinical colleagues in clinical care and in support of HNF's goals.
• Identify and develop appropriate networking and collaborative partnerships with external organizations to advance HNF's mission.
• Any other duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work or its equivalent; a Certificate in Counselling would be an advantage.
• Registered Social Worker.
• At least 8 to 10 years of social work experience, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience, and 1 year in healthcare.
• Able to apply knowledge and experience to address practical problems of staff and clients.
