Job Title: Head of Sales and Marketing

Department:Sales & Marketing
Reports To:Chief Operating Officer

Primary Objective:

To lead and oversee the sales and marketing teams to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and enhance the company's brand positioning. The Head of Sales and Marketing will formulate and execute strategies that align with the company's business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop, implement, and monitor sales and marketing strategies that support the company's growth goals.
  • Set quarterly and annual revenue targets, and ensure the team meets or exceeds these goals.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop market penetration strategies.
  • Align marketing campaigns with sales efforts to maximize business potential.

2. Sales Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Monitor key sales metrics (e.g., conversion rates, pipeline growth) and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Develop a sales pipeline for new products and services.
  • Establish partnerships and manage relationships with key clients and distributors.

3. Marketing Leadership

  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans to build brand awareness, attract new customers, and retain existing clients.
  • Oversee all marketing efforts, including digital marketing, traditional advertising, public relations, and content creation.
  • Manage the company's brand positioning, ensuring consistency across all platforms.
  • Lead product launches, promotional campaigns, and events to generate market interest.

4. Team Management & Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor high-performing sales and marketing teams.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve individual and team performance.
  • Foster a collaborative culture between the sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of plans.

5. Budget & Financial Management

  • Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and ROI.
  • Monitor and control expenses while maximizing efficiency in campaign executions.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales performance, marketing effectiveness, and key business metrics to senior management.

6. Market Research & Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
  • Use data and insights to make informed decisions on market positioning, pricing strategies, and customer targeting.
  • Recommend new product development and modifications based on market feedback.

7. Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by building long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms and resolve any issues related to sales or service delivery.
  • Oversee the development of a CRM system to streamline customer engagement and sales processes.

8. Digital Transformation & Innovation

  • Spearhead digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and PPC campaigns.
  • Explore the use of new technologies, tools, and channels to improve sales and marketing outcomes.
  • Drive e-commerce and online sales strategies to complement traditional sales channels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong track record of developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies.
  • Experience in the [industry-specific knowledge, if applicable].
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
