Our client is a direct General Insurance firm in Singapore. They are now looking for a Chief Risk Officer to support the Risk Management and Compliance function.

About the job
This is a highly independent role. You are required to monitor and report on risks and the regulatory environment to support strategic decisions, fostering a strong risk and compliance culture within the company. This includes:

1. Deliver risk management services and foster a strong risk culture.
2. Monitor risks to support strategic decisions.
3. Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and group guidelines.
4. Oversee ORSA, Business Continuity Plan, and risk governance processes.
5. Review and update risk appetite, register, and policies.

Skills and experience required

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum 12 years of compliance experience at a senior level in the general insurance or reinsurance industry.
3. Experience managing a professional team is ideal.
4. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
