Job description

Responsibilities

  1. Ensuring smooth and effective daily operations for maintenance, housekeeping, and security.
  2. Regular building inspection and recommendation for repair, upgrade, and improvement to all facilities and equipment.
  3. Development and implementation of a schedule of preventive maintenance.
  4. Development and implementation of energy management programs.
  5. Oversight of and professionally managing all Club renovation projects as the main liaison person between Club Management, appointed contractors, authorities, and consultants.
  6. Preparation of the annual budget for the department and ensuring that budget goals are attained.
  7. Prudent management of capital expenditures for building and facilities upkeep and related works.
  8. Participation in ongoing facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, security, safety, and other standards are consistently attained.
  9. Managing staff recruitment, training, development, and performance management for all staff within the department.
  10. Leading and managing Fire Safety and Workplace Safety & Health compliance requirements.
  11. Development and implementation of a Crisis Management Program encompassing but not limited to Security, Safety, Health, Chemical and Logistical risks, as well as business continuity initiatives.
  12. Periodic physical security audits and implementation of required measures to mitigate against assessed threats to people, processes, and property.
  13. Development and implementation of security procedures for the protection of Members, guests, employees, and property.
  14. Directing the training of all relevant personnel in first aid, fire protection, traffic control, emergency procedures, and all security procedures.
  15. Participation in Management Committee meetings, House & Grounds, and other relevant Committee meetings.
  16. Any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Job Requirements:

  1. Minimum bachelor degree in Engineering or Facilities Management, with 8-10 years of experience and in-depth knowledge in building systems, mechanical and electrical services design, installation, and maintenance.
  2. Strong expertise in technical facilities management, contract management, and financial budgeting.
  3. Experience in sustainability practices, Green Mark Accredited Professional, and application within a facilities management context is an added advantage.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with both internal teams and external contractors.
