About Our Client

Our client is a leading organization in the semiconductor industry and they are seeking for a Head of Procurement.

Job Description

1. Design and execute a regional procurement strategy that supports the company's growth ambitions and improves supply chain effectiveness.
2. Source, assess and onboard suppliers to establish a reliable, high-quality supply chain, ensuring compliance criteria and actively driving supplier performance across these key areas.
3. Oversee procurement integration during mergers and acquisitions to ensure smooth alignment with corporate objectives and maintain operational efficiencies.
4. Implement cost-saving measures through strategic sourcing, skillful negotiation, and process improvements while consistently meeting quality and service benchmarks.
5. Perform detailed analyses to guide informed buy-or-make decisions, optimizing procurement activities and resource allocation.
6. Build, mentor and lead a high-performing procurement team, providing hands-on direction and ensuring the effective rollout of procurement strategies.
7. Collaborate closely with the global headquarters, utilizing resources and best practices to synchronize regional procurement efforts with corporate goals.

The Successful Applicant

1. 10-15 years of relevant procurement experience, particularly in the semiconductor and high-precision manufacturing industries.
2. Proven success in integrating procurement functions, supplier onboarding, new product introduction (NPI) projects and leading regional procurement operations.
3. Deep understanding of supply chain management practices within APAC.
4. Demonstrated ability to implement cost reductions and streamline processes.
5. Extensive experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
