Head of Payroll (SSC)

This is a critical leadership position within a Shared Services Centre (SSC), as Head of Payroll, overseeing the company's payroll department. You will lead the modernisation of payroll processes, driving transformation and optimisation across a centralised shared services model.

Description

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will:

1. Lead and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple entities under the group, ensuring compliance with local tax laws, labour regulations, and internal governance standards.
2. Design and implement payroll strategy aligned with business objectives, driving operational excellence and cost efficiency.
3. Manage a high-performing payroll team of over 50 employees, fostering a culture of high service delivery.
4. Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to ensure smooth operations and provide effective solutions to payroll-related matters.
5. Lead change management initiatives related to payroll systems, policy updates, and organisational transitions.

Profile

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field, with over 15 years of working experience.
2. Strong knowledge of payroll systems and procedures in a shared services environment.
3. Hands on experience with SAP, Success Factor module.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills for overseeing a sizable team.
5. An analytical mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
