Head of IT

We are representing our client (MNC) to hire a Head of IT:

Position Summary

Oversees the organisation's technology-related strategies and initiatives. Plans for the company's technology needs and addresses any tech-related problems. Analyses information and helps the company move forward with advances in technology and methods of processing and managing information. Serves as a leader and innovator for the company's information technology function.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Directing the information and data integrity of the enterprise and its Groups and for all Information Technology functions of the enterprise.
2. Define IT strategy and implement across business.
3. Review all computerized and manual systems; information processing equipment and software for acquisition, storage and retrieval; and definition of the strategic direction of all information processing and communication systems and operations.
4. Provide overall management and definition of all computer and communication activities within the enterprise including responsibility for providing a leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the Information Technology functions.
5. Provide direction as the enterprise grows through internal growth and external acquisition.
6. Work closely with the executive management team on:
1. Strategy Planning
2. Define, update and implement IT strategy.
3. Align IT objectives and programs to enterprise objectives and strategies.
4. Establish IT Governance, Standards, Infrastructure, Applications Architecture and Methodologies.
5. Control performance objectives and overall IT budget.
6. Define metrics based on overall business objectives.
7. Acquire software/hardware including selection, management and control of IT providers.
8. Manage outsourced services; maximize the mix of in-house versus outsourced services.
9. Establish strategic service provider partnerships.
10. Establish Quality Management System to ensure good standard of IT service delivery.
11. Align IT Risk Management with Enterprise-wide Risk Management.
12. Optimize and design enterprise processes via IT.
13. Define and adjust IT standards and technologies.
14. Plan and manage strategic IT initiatives.
15. Manage IT applications portfolio and IT projects.
16. Participate in decision making to enterprise operations.
17. Include governance with Business Process Executives.
18. Define standards and architectures.
19. Consolidate the IT processes across the enterprise.
20. Optimize costs of services through a mix of internal and external resources.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor Degree in a Computing Discipline. MSC or MBA is advantageous.
2. Broad commercial experience in a multinational and multicultural environment.
3. Minimum 10 years senior management experience with IT, operational and financial responsibilities.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
5. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
6. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain good relationships at senior level of the organization and influence key stakeholders.
7. Proven track record in strategic IT Planning, Program Management and IT Operations Management.
8. Proven strong people management and leadership.
9. Extensive knowledge of IT trends, technologies and applications.
10. Hands-on experience in implementation and management of large-scale systems and processes to achieve business outcomes.
11. Strong facilitation and business solution skills.
12. Ability to lead, develop and motivate people to achieve high performance.
