Introduction:

Overview - Global Health and Safety Team:

The Global HSE Team's purpose is to support Dyson to create a safe working environment for all Dyson staff wherever they may work, a safe experience for customers and to ensure we minimize our impact on the environment.

Overview - Role:

You will act as the APAC HSE Business Partner and as a topic subject matter expert (SME). You will manage the HSE support to the organization via a team of HSE Managers. There is an overriding expectation that as a HSE professional you will undertake any other role-related task as outlined by the Global Health and Safety Director.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direction to ensure both the site and wider regional H&S priorities are appropriately prioritized and supported.
• Use a combination of coaching and mentoring to ensure that SMEs are successful and effective at driving improvement in HSE performance.
• Support the development of team members to achieve both personal growth and succession in the business.
• Collaborate to ensure the site resource provides their functional expertise via an HSE matrix across the company.
• Support HSE Managers to delve into the community of HSE champions.
• Be the first point of contact for site leaders and lead the matrix of HSE professionals.

Experience:

• 15 years (min) experience preferably within a research and development or similar environment.
• Strong subject matter expertise in an aspect of HSE.
• Successful leadership and coaching experience of subject matter experts.
• Strong influencing skills and involvement in change management.
• Demonstrable experience of working in a global matrix organization.

Qualifications:

• Ideally Educated to degree level in a scientific subject.
• A recognized Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent preferable).
• Chartered membership of the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (CMIOSH) (or equivalent).

Approach:

• Demonstrate flexibility in their approach and maintain a proactive "can do" attitude.
• Be an ambassador, vocal advocate, and influencer for HSE management.
• Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to build a network of connections.
