Citigold Private Client and Citigold (CPC and CG) are key segments of the Wealth franchise at Citi.
The CPC and CG Asia South Cluster is a critical business of the Wealth portfolio for Citi and serves more than 170k banking and wealth and 800k card clients. CPC and CG delivers holistic wealth management solutions and product offerings from core banking and lending to managed investment and capital markets accessible through offshore and onshore platforms. The distribution model includes a high-touch service provided by both bankers and product specialists, as well as sophisticated digital offerings.

The Head of CPC and CG for the Asia South Cluster reports into the Global Head of Wealth and is a member of the Global Wealth Management Team. This leader will oversee the execution of the strategic plan for Global Wealth across Asia South and, along with other members of the Global Wealth Management Team, will work together to ensure the successful execution of the Wealth growth strategy.

The Head of CPC and CG for Asia South is the accountable executive for delivering the business plans in Asia South and as such will manage all the CPC and CG segment activities in Singapore. This will include leading the front-office (e.g., client advisors) and the Segments, Distribution and Digital Growth teams.

The incumbent will also have a strong partnership with the Product, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Risk and Control, and Client Experience global leaders and their teams to ensure that the CPG and CG segments have best-in-class support from these units to deliver on the financial targets and ensure responsible growth of the franchise, supporting the safety and soundness of the bank while closely collaborating to advance the Global Wealth strategies and ambition.

As a key member of the Global Wealth Management Team, the Head of CPC and CG for Asia South is responsible for the Asia South segment profitability and performance across highly regulated, complex and competitive markets with established local, regional and global players, ensuring country and global level objectives.

The incumbent oversees and leads all development, implementation and coordination of the strategy and business plans, including time to market, economic and financial implications, digital experience, partnerships, and competitive landscape which are integral to the strategy and how we serve our clients and their interests. The executive will also lead, build and coach senior managers and ensure appropriate resources and skill sets are made available to the Business.

P&L and Balance Sheet Responsibility:
  • Drive asset and liabilities growth actions to strengthen and meet all balance sheet targets with respect to self-funding ratio, LCR, and other metrics.
  • Drive sustainable business growth, maximizing revenue, margin and EBIT growth, offering differentiated customer value propositions and implementing an integrated digital and manned distribution platform which provides world class efficiency, experience and service quality to our customers.
Strategy:
  • Articulate and execute a compelling vision and business strategy to drive sustainable growth across the Asia South cluster, ensuring global alignment of objectives, in co-operation with Global partners.
  • Communicate the vision of the future to motivate and engage all levels of staff and give them a clear understanding of where their work fits into the big picture.
  • Drive the strategic priorities and vision for CPC and CG in Asia South.
  • Drive Wealth Advisor and Client Digital/Mobile strategies for CPC and CG businesses.
  • Drive the planning and execution of the CPC and CG Technology Book of Work in Asia South.
Customer Franchise Growth
  • Set the strategic direction for the business in terms of ambition, products, partners, business development, segments and channels in cooperation with Global partners.
  • Ensure strong value propositions focused on core customer segments and products.
  • Grow the portfolio by way of new client acquisition & relationship deepening through cross-sell of appropriate products.
  • Identify market opportunities for business growth & implement sales programs to achieve the desired results.
  • Build and deepen customer loyalty and satisfaction to deliver a remarkable experience. Institute measurements and tracking for key drivers on Customer satisfaction and NPS scores.
  • Drive initiatives to become a digital bank.
Risk & Controls Management
  • Continuously assess the business' key risk indicators & ensure strict compliance at all times. Initiate recommendations for enhancements of policies where appropriate, and foster sense of openness among staff to surface potential issues and concerns to higher level.
  • Exercise sound credit and business judgement and at all times, to safeguard the interest of the bank as well as that of the customers.
  • To ensure at all times, compliance with the bank's policies, regulations and guidelines pertaining to staff behavior, sales, products and marketing.
  • Manage the team on a no surprise basis, ensure documentation outstanding is down to minimal level.
  • Embed a strong culture of ethics, risk management, compliance and controls.
Day to Day Business Oversight:
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the CPC/CG Asia South Management Team to support them on day-to-day management.
  • Set goals for each sales channel to align with overall sales goals, regularly reviewing and revising them to adapt to environmental changes.
  • Proactively co-ordinate initiatives to close any gaps to Plan.
  • Partner with Products, Citi Private Bank, Operations & Technology, Finance, Compliance, Legal, HR, Risk & Control, and other Citi products to develop and co-ordinate the execution of the CPC and CG business plan.
  • Represent the CPC and CG within Citi and externally as appropriate.
  • Embed a strong culture of ethics, compliance and controls.
  • Lead Client Obsession initiatives to drive focus on customer experience and maintain top NPS ratings.
  • Drive customer acquisition, net customer growth, Net New Assets (NNA), Net New Investments, as well as cross sell.
  • Plan and execute the actions to ensure the CPC and CG Key Priorities and Scorecard are delivered.
  • Drive digital in both servicing and acquisitions, continuing to innovate to maintain Citi at the top of mobile banking app store ratings.
  • Always ensure audit readiness and strong controls and secure successful internal and external audit results.
People Management:
  • Manage the organization with the right structure and right people to deliver business results.
  • Recruit, retain and develop talent across all key leadership positions, with a strong mix of local and international high potential future leaders.
  • Execute the Client Advisor growth plans, delivering the agreed front line capacity to service CPC and CG clients as well as the growth targets.
  • Strategically develop talent with on-the-job training, stretch assignments, formal leadership programs and other actions.
  • Be a coach and mentor and develop managerial skills of direct reports into high quality managers.
  • Take ownership of the managed team and ensure Citi people management practices are implemented to ensure an excellent employee experience across the employee life cycle.
  • Support the Wealth career path strategies, which includes driving the Wealth Talent Continuum actions, Training & Development activities and the execution of the Total Rewards firm's strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Proven track record as a senior leader in key aspects of business management (strategy, sales, people leadership, financial performance, risk & controls).
  • 15+ years of relevant strategic and operational work experience.
  • Proven track record in leading transformation and change, and ability to materially change business trajectory.
  • Extensive knowledge of consumer bank and wealth management products, services, and markets and understanding of the competitive landscape for the Affluent and High Net Worth Segments in the cluster.
  • Demonstrates clear understanding of the drivers of performance and decision making to maximize results.
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal relationships with broader stakeholders across the franchise to drive to common goals and outcomes in an open, transparent and collaborative manner across geographies.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work in a matrixed environment public presence (clients, local partners, government/regulator, etc.)
  • Understanding of Citigroup's policies (GCCFRP), compliance and regulations (preferred).
  • Awareness of Citi people processes policies and relevant laws (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration related field (preferred).
  • Required with 15+ years of experience, MBA preferred.
  • C16 Level.
  • Travel Required.
