Role Purpose
- Be responsible for leading the DCS customer data strategy and analytics initiatives globally.
- Be responsible for maximizing the value of customer data to drive informed business decisions, enhance customer experiences, and support DCS functional goals.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global customer data strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead and manage teams responsible for data analysis, insights generation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define data-driven goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data analytics support business initiatives and objectives.
- Champion the use of advanced analytics, data modeling, and BI tools to unlock insights from customer data.
- Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and ethical data usage protocols.
- Monitor industry trends in data analytics and apply relevant innovations to enhance analytics capabilities.
Management Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teams, foster a positive work environment, and ensure effective communication across departments. This includes mentoring and developing talent within the organization.
- Manage budgets, forecast financial performance, and ensure that the department or division operates within its financial means. This includes analyzing financial reports and making data-driven decisions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams. This involves understanding their needs and ensuring that the organization meets or exceeds expectations.
Do you have what it takes?
- Advanced university degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics/Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Quantitative-driven Business Administration or equivalent experience and education.
- Relevant certifications in data analytics, data management, or business intelligence (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional, Data Management Association certification) can be beneficial.
- More than 10 years' experience in client-facing data analysis roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role including:
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in data strategy development, analytics methodologies, and tools, including advanced analytics and business intelligence frameworks.
- Experience in large, sophisticated organizations with high volume/high transaction environments, including the physical shipment of goods and digital touchpoints.
- Global experience and collaboration across diverse teams that have achieved exceptional results in data-driven initiatives.
- Experience building AI technologies, data systems, and analytics at scale.
- Exposure to leading data and analytics departments that deliver insights, business strategies, and enhanced customer experiences aligned with organizational goals.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing data integrations and analytics solutions that improve business performance and customer engagement.
