Head of Freight Operations (Air Freight) / Freight Forwarding Industry

Our client is a Global Freight Forwarding Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Head of Freight Operations to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the Central.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and guide the customer service team to ensure smooth operations.
2. Provide training and guidance on freight operations, customer service, and regulations.
3. Strengthen relationships with carriers, vendors, and agents.
4. Manage budgets, control costs, and ensure financial accountability.
5. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
6. Develop pricing strategies to drive business growth.
7. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring service excellence.
8. Oversee shipment coordination, including booking, tracking, and timely delivery.
9. Work closely with internal teams and carriers to resolve logistics challenges.
10. Negotiate with shipping and airline partners to optimize trade routes.
11. Prepare reports on operations, service quality, and performance metrics.
12. Use data insights to drive strategic decision-making.
13. Plan and implement trade lane strategies to maximize profitability.
14. Analyze service performance and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
15. Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Min Diploma in logistics/supply chain studies or equivalent.
2. Min 8 years relevant working experience in freight forwarding, import/export operations, or logistics.
3. Experience with CargoWise would be advantageous.
