Job description

Job Summary: He/She will be overall responsible for ensuring that the taxi rental has a healthy, high-quality pool of drivers to meet fleet demand and growth. He/She will lead a team of recruitment and retention officers to implement programs to enhance hirers’ experience during recruitment, onboarding and training as well as develop effective recruitment strategies, and retention programs to minimize driver turnover. He/She will monitor and ensure staff performance and take care of staff welfare and development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to attract and increase revenue fleet.
  • Seek out different channels to generate leads for potential candidates through various channels, including events, social media, and outreach.
  • Ensure effective and efficient leads follow up.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding process, including paperwork, orientation, and training.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.

2. Retention:

  • Develop and implement retention strategies to improve driver satisfaction and reduce attrition.
  • Monitor and track to hirers’ satisfaction.
  • Analyze driver turnover data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Address driver concerns and issues promptly.

3. Training & Driver Development:

  • Ensure smooth conduct and strict compliance for all vocational licences courses.
  • Ensure smooth conduct training programs to equip drivers with platform knowledge, service standards, and safety protocols during on-boarding.
  • Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and update materials based on feedback and performance trends.

4. Administrative Tasks:

  • Prepare reports on recruitment and retention activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

5. Team Leadership:

  • Establish clear expectations, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for team.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide regular feedback and coaching, and take corrective action to improve performance, when required.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Ensure staff is trained on product knowledge and customer service.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in recruitment, operations, or supply management, preferably in the transport or service industry.
  • At least 4 years of leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to lead and motivate teams toward KPIs and goals.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in coaching, performance management, and staff development.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on experience in designing and executing recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Familiarity with driver-related licensing requirements (e.g., vocational licences) and regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
  • Willingness to be on the ground and interact directly with drivers when needed (e.g., at roadshows or onboarding sessions).
